2023: A Year of Renewal and Energy
2023 felt like a year when the world was truly moving forward again. Nationally, music lovers couldn’t get enough of Miley Cyrus’s hit song “Flowers,” which dominated the UK charts in March. The song, filled with messages of empowerment and renewal, seemed to match the mood of the time—Brighton was buzzing with energy, as life, creativity, and community came back stronger than ever.
Locally, Brighton continued to thrive. The streets were filled with the buzz of new projects and events, from festivals to environmental initiatives. The city’s commitment to sustainability was stronger than ever, with new electric bike schemes popping up and more green spaces being protected for future generations. It was a year that felt optimistic, and Let’s Dance was the perfect reflection of that spirit—full of hope, energy, and the excitement of what’s to come.
Let’s Dance 2023: A Community on Stage
As ever, Let’s Dance was more than just a dance show—it was a reflection of our community. From high-energy group performances that had the crowd clapping along to emotionally charged solo routines that left a tear in the eye, each performance showcased the heart and soul of Brighton’s students. You could feel the pride in the room—the performers, the teachers, and the families who supported them.
What made 2023 particularly special was the sense that everyone was pushing the boundaries a little bit more. The choreography was more daring, the routines more polished, and the performances more powerful than ever before. Every school brought something unique to the stage, but they were all united by the same goal: to make Let’s Dance 2023 one of the best yet.
